My Review of 111Skin Anti-Blemish Ground Control Tonic

111SKIN Anti-Blemish products review

Frankly speaking, 111 Skin is a bit over my budget but I decided to give it a go as my spots were becoming a complete nightmare. New spots were coming out even before all the other scars had naturally healed.

111SKIN Ground Control Anti-Blemish Tonic

It came in a very nice bottle, quite heavy though. At least if you drop it on the floor it won’t shatter in pieces. The tonic is very watery and feels very refreshing on the skin. I really liked it and it did a great job of reducing inflammation and blemish frequency. The whole bottle lasted for about two months. I used it twice a day before putting my makeup in the morning and before going to bed.

It almost didn’t have any fragrance and had a very soothing and calming effect on the skin. The improvements were very slow because getting rid of the acne bacteria and healing the scars is never an easy job. The miracle just won’t happen. You have to wait for months and months for all of this to disappear.

PROS

– High-quality product
– Fulfills its promises
– Nice and gentle on the skin
– Cleanses skin very well
– Significantly reduces scarring and minimizes the production of sebum
– Antibacterial
-Calms stressed complexion
-Stimulates your skin’s natural repair cycle
-Made from natural ingredients
-Nicely packaged

CONS

– Too expensive
– Could come in a bigger bottle (e.g.200ml)
– It’s better to pour it straight on your face and distribute across with the cotton pad otherwise you run out of it sooner than expected

I would absolutely buy the 111SKIN Ground Control Anti-Blemish Tonic again as it’s so refreshing, hydrating and calming. It cleared my face and now my breakouts are less frequent. All in all, I trust the 111Skin brand and really liked my first experience. I am more than willing to try out more products from their range.

111SKIN Hydrolat Anti-Blemish Tonic

This was my next purchase after I ran out of my ground control tonic. It’s a very different product in terms of texture, fragrance and general feel to it. It’s heavily fragranced and could be quite off-putting at first. It’s less watery than the ground control tonic and is white in colour. It feels thicker on the skin however, I feel like it hydrates and pumps up my skin better than the ground control.

Hydrolat tonic will give slightly more moisture and a bit of a glow. The more you use it the more you get used to the smell and slightly thicker texture. It does a good job of reducing inflammation and oil produced by your skin. It also helps heal pimples and scarring.

Both tonics fulfill what they promise but if you can’t stand heavily fragranced beauty products then go for the first option.

PROS

– High-quality product
– Fulfills its promises
– Moisturizes skin
– Gives a nice refreshing glow
– Calms redness and inflammation
-Made from natural ingredients
-Nicely packaged

CONS

-Heavily fragranced
-Feels quite thick and heavy
– Too expensive
– Could come in a bigger bottle (e.g.200ml)
– Even harder to distribute due to its thickness so you’d better pour it directly onto your face (see above)

I do a lot of product reviews to make it easier for you to shop and help you decide what suits your skin type best. Read about another great brand that I discovered – Soveral London.
